Halley Martin's (Mandy Moore) cynical view of love is confirmed by the relationships of those closest to her. Her jaded mother, Lydia (Allison Janney, American Beauty, TV's "The West Wing") is in the final stages of divorcing her father, Len (Peter Gallagher, Mr. Deeds, TV's "The OC"), a radio DJ who chooses to combat his mid-life crises by eloping with the station's much-younger traffic reporter. In addition, her neurotic sister, Ashley (Mary Catherine Garrison, Moonlight Mile) is marrying a man (Mackenzie Astin, Two Days) whom she claims to love but is constantly bickering with, and her best friend, Scarlett (Alexandra Holden, Sugar & Spice), is experiencing her first case of out-of-control hormones with a fellow classmate.
